Our Story

The most important element in determining the quality of your new or remodeled home is the experience and craftsmanship of the people who will undertake the project.

George Bardaglio, founder of Androscoggin Builders, Inc., has been building and remodeling houses in Central Maine since 1980 after graduating from Bates College. A track star at Bates, where he held the high jump record for many years, George and his family have lived in Wayne, Maine for thirty years.

During this time, Androscoggin Builders has focused on designing and constructing quality homes and carrying out expert renovations. George has gained a well-earned reputation for integrity, listening carefully to his clients, and active involvement in each and every one of the company's projects.

When not working, George can often be found fly fishing for trout and making his own fly fishing ties.

George's wife, Wendy Ault, is a Maine native and also graduated from Bates College. Wendy is executive director of the MELMAC Education Foundation and served four terms in the Maine House of Representatives from 1988 to 1996.

Their daughter Christine graduated from Thomas College in accounting and their son Will graduated from Colby-Sawyer College, and they both now work in Charlotte, NC.
